Eberron: Unsung Heroes
Kerra Solo 1
In the hustle and bustle of Tavick’s Market district Kerra searches out a lead for the whereabouts of Raine, a theif whose betrayal led Kerra to be imprisoned. She was distracted as a penetrating lance of nausea and pain emanating from the coin she carries, given to her by whatever patron sprung her and Dorian from prison. When she recovered, she noticed a girl hiding, crying in the cover of one of the market booths. Kerra approched her and after just a few exchanged words could mark the similarities between the young girl and Raine; rubbed off mannerisms. When questioned, the girl was suspicious, but told Kerra that the theif had been attacked in his make-shift lair.
Kerra wasted little time in obtaining directions to the ‘nest’ and making her way to it. There she saw the carnage first hand. Raine’s room was bloody and a large ruined section of the wall spilled out into an expansive sewer system. The waifish street girl from before then appeared and told the story of Raine being attacked by large humanoid creatures, and shutting the door tight before the intruders could harm any of the children. Kerra and the girl explored the winding system, following a blood trail. Along the path they found a dismembered finger, likely Raine’s but with no way to be sure they could only assume. At the end of the path was an exit back into Sharn proper, amidst a room with mundane contents. There was a strong magical signature left in the room, that bespoke of a powerful ritual. Behind some debris of the room, Kerra and the re-named Storme found a name and a lead: Verrick.
As Storme went to keep watch for the man, a scout Raine and Kerra had worked with in the past, at a dive called the Boar and Whore, Kerra was left wondering what she intended to do to the theif when she found him. She couldn’t decide. Raine did protect orphaned children and teach them necessary skills for surviving on the street. On the other hand, thunderwaving the greasy rogue off the top of a tower seemed such a sweet punishment for her time in prison…
